Bing Adds School Ratings
A few weeks ago, Bing unveiled an easy way to access free online courses and books on Bing. Now on the same theme they have started showcasing school ratings, rankings and academic indicators directly in Snapshot.
Now when you search for a given school, whether it be elementary or high school or any higher educational institution, a chart will be shown on how they rank nationally, within the state and their STEM rating.
They also show nearby schools in the area and how they rank compared.
School ratings, rankings and academic indicators directly added to the Bing Snapshot giving the better user experience for its users.
National ranking is one of the key criteria you have in mind when selecting a school for your kids, with these latest updates means when you search for a particular school in the US — from elementary to high school to higher education — you get to see how they fare nationally, within the state and what their STEM rating might be.
STEM stands for: science, technology, engineering and math.
Famous alums also appear in the snapshot. For instance, in the example above, you’d find Jeff Probst, “Survivor” host, in the “Related People” section as an alumnus of Newport High School.
Because this is built on Bing’s vast knowledge repository containing billions of people, places and things Bing also showcase famous alumnus.
